The Source+, an award-winning cannabis company with dispensaries in Nevada and its first East Coast dispensary in Northampton, Massachusetts, will support local LGBTQIA+ nonprofit, the Venture Out Project, throughout June in honor of Pride Month.

Now through Thursday, June 30, customers may round up their purchases while shopping at The Source+’s Northampton location to directly support the Venture Out Project. Customers 21+ are also invited to join the company’s team in a free tie-dye event, hosted on its patio deck every weekend throughout the month.

“The Source strives to ensure everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed and free to be who they are,” said The Source+’s Director of Massachusetts, Brett Sprau. “The work Venture Out Project does to create a safe environment where all people are truly valued and respected is something we are honored to support.”

The Venture Out Project, founded by Perry Cohen, is a nonprofit organization that promotes equity, justice and belonging through facilitated backpacking and wilderness trips for the queer and trans community in a safe and inclusive environment. All trips and programs offered by Venture Out Project are run by queer people for queer people and are available to people of all ages, from three years old and up, through family campouts, youth and adult trips. Equipment and gear are provided, and scholarships are available for those who would otherwise not be able to participate. The organization also conducts transgender inclusion workshops for educators, adventure professionals, summer camps and more.

The Source+ has prioritized giving back to its communities since its inception, supporting local partners by donating more than $700,000 to local nonprofits, including Opportunity Village, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, The Nevada Homeless Alliance, Mondays Dark and more.
