Even if you practice fasting or perhaps do not have time first thing in the morning to eat breakfast, the meal you use to break your fast can be a delicious breakfast option. Infusing your breakfast with cannabis is a great way to enjoy the benefits of consuming cannabis early in the day without the need to smoke or vape. Marijuana-Infused Mango Smoothie Bowl

The optional addition of protein powder makes this vibrant and tropical mango smoothie bowl a great choice for starting your day. It is also easy and doesn’t involve any cooking, so it is an excellent option for when you may be short on time. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of frozen mango chunks
  • 1 frozen banana, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup of milk of your choice
  • ½ cup vanilla greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop of your favorite vanilla or unflavored protein powder (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 10mg THC tincture or 1 ml of cannabis oil

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour or spoon into a bowl. You can top your bowl with blueberries, granola, and a drizzle of honey – or any other toppings you prefer. Enjoy! 

Can-cakes

Who doesn’t love pancakes for breakfast? This recipe calls for cannabutter to turn the pancakes into can-cakes. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 ¼ cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of melted cannabutter

Sift together the dry ingredients. Add the melted butter and egg, and stir together until smooth. Grease a skillet or griddle and pour the mixture, about ¼ cup at a time. When the pancakes begin to bubble, flip them over to cook on the other side. Serve them warm, with a little cannabutter and syrup.

Cannabis Scrambled Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein, which makes them a nutritious go-to breakfast option. It is also fairly easy and quick to whip up some scrambled eggs. This infused option uses cannabutter to make the eggs more delicious and allow you to consume your medical cannabis with your first meal of the day. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 – 2 tablespoons of cannabutter (recipe here
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons each of chopped red pepper and onion
  • A small handful of spinach or kale
  • 2 tablespoons of your favorite grated cheese (optional)

Warm a medium-sized skillet over medium heat. Add the cannabutter and allow it to melt. Next, add the peppers and onions and sauté until they soften. While the veggies are sautéing, whisk the eggs together. Pour them into the skillet, and allow them to cook for a minute or two before adding the spinach. Cook the egg and veggie mixture to your desired level of doneness. Add the grated cheese during the last few minutes of cooking until it melts. Plate and enjoy.
