Snow White is a particularly resinous hybrid bred from the ever-popular White Widow – and, depending on where you get it, you may hear it is bred with Northern Lights or just a generic American indica strain. Wherever the second parentage lies for this plant, it created a strain that works wonders on many conditions and provides relatively long-lived effects.

What You Should Expect

When you are looking at Snow White, you will immediately be able to guess it’s White Widow heritage just based on the number of white crystals coating the pale green buds. Usually very dense and large, the buds have orange and brown hairs throughout it – all leading to a very vibrant looking plant. It grows in the way you would expect an indica strain to grow; short and stocky, reaching 30-36 inches when full-grown. The aroma of this strain is a strong one, with a citrusy sweet scent which carries over wonderfully into a piney flavor with a lemon-like aftertaste.

This hybrid is indica dominant, often hanging around 65% indica and 35% sativa, which offers a load of wonderful body and mind effects that work together for full relaxation. You will likely notice the body buzz leaves you feeling relaxed, loose and potentially a little tired, followed by a head buzz that will leave you euphoric, calm and slightly more focused. This strain is an all around winner for almost any user as a mid-day or evening choice.

Medical Benefits

If you are considering using Snow White as a medication, then you will find that you are better off using it later in the day due to the strong indica nature. Experienced users may be able to use this strain earlier on – but it’s best to make sure you don’t have any important plans just in case as it can leave you feeling slightly sedated. The body effects make this strain especially good for those looking to relieve pain in the joints, migraine headaches and muscle spasms. And thanks to the sativa effects and the balance from indica traits, this strain can also be used to combat anxiety, depression, loss of appetite and more.

When you consider growing this strain for yourself, you should be aware that it has an average flowering time of 60-70 days, so plan accordingly when you plant this strain. You will notice it starts to cover with crystals within only the first few weeks – giving way to the resinous buds that are called Snow White.
