East Coast Unity Cypher Celebrates Marijuana Reform from Maine to Miami

Organizers kicked off the Unity Cypher tour with an inaugural lighting of the Unity Torch in Portland, Maine.

The symbolic joint represents cannabis reform making its way from Maine to Florida. Here, the Unity Cypher is in Lancaster, New Hampshire for an appearance at the New Hampshire Hempfest and Freedom Rally.

New Hampshire advocates, politicians, and organizers handed off the symbolic joint to their Massachusetts neighbors.

The Unity Cypher makes it’s way down the East Coast, stopping at the Massachusetts State House for a photo-op.

The torch is passed off in Providence, Rhode Island at the Healing Church Torch Passing Event.

HempCT and Legalize Connecticut organize the Connecticut Unity Cypher Passing in Hamden, Connecticut.

Peachtree NORML takes the torch on a tour of the Capitol and Liberty Park, Centennial Olympic Park and National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Torch leaves from Atlanta, Georgia and heads to Jacksonville, Florida thanks to the Mid-Georgia NORML chapter and the pilot, Rick Raines.

“We will be passing the torch to our brothers and sister in Florida and it will continue its travels with the final destination being Miami,” says Peachtree NORML organizers.

The Unity Torch reaches it’s final destination, Miami, Florida with The Magic City NORML chapter.
