This strain has been around for a while now, but the hybrid is still a favorite among medical patients around the nation. The roots of this strain come from the indica strain Blueberry and the hybrid strain OG Kush – combined to create a powerful 80% indica hybrid – the 20% sativa making giving the strain a decent balance on effects. This strain may also be known by the name “Kushberry” and it originated in Oregon.

What You Should Expect

As mentioned, this is a very powerful indica strain – it offers almost immediate relief to symptoms and as you medicate you will feel your body enter a relaxed and euphoric state – generally free of pain related to medical conditions and free of anxiety. This is really an all-around great strain due to its potency – which is generally around 20% or higher.

When it comes to the look of your buds, you might expect this one to come with a bit of blue or purple coloring due to the name – but this isn’t always the case. Supposedly, the color actually has more about the climate it’s grown in and less about the actual genetics of the plant itself. You will almost always find this strain covered in vibrant orange hairs and a dusting of crystals.

The structure of the Blueberry Kush buds are generally more compact and the darker shades of green allow any potential purple or blue to stand out, as do the orange hairs. When smoking, these buds offer a very smooth hit with a fruity blueberry taste with hints of natural earthy flavors – and the aroma is just as wonderful; this is definitely an aromatic strain.

Medical Benefits of Blueberry Kush

When it comes to medicating, finding a good strain that works for any and all ailments you might have can be difficult. In the future, we might have a better data collection for doctors to be able and confident to recommend specific strains, but for now it’s up to the patient to experiment with different strains and amounts until they figure out what works best for them.

This is a high-THC medicine and it works well for patients with many different conditions – though the most common include pain relief, treatment of nausea, anorexia, stress and anxiety. These conditions usually respond well to higher THC strains – making Blueberry Kush a tasty and beneficial strain to consider.

Due to the fact that there is roughly 20% sativa genetics, this strain will still allow experienced users to consume during the day without much of a problem (say except some sleepiness and munchies) – but inexperienced users could easily medicate too much and find themselves couch locked – always be aware of how much you are consuming!

For home-growers, this strain can be finicky, meaning it is best left to those with experience or lots of patience. Flowering time for this strain can be as little as six and up to 10 weeks – but always remember that the longer the plant grows the more of a yield you will get.
