Hybrid strains are almost always a favorite these days as they have the potential to create a mixture of effects – Sunset Sherbet is no exception to this rule as the indica dominant hybrid is useful in a number of different conditions. This strain was bred from the ever popular Girl Scout Cookies and a strain known as Pink Panties – together they create a brilliant citrusy medication that will please your senses.

What You Should Expect

The Sunset Sherbet strain is around 85% indica and 15% sativa, offering a number of indica effects such as relaxation and pain relief, without the common couchlock thanks to the sativa nature. The buds are almost always a pale, minty green shade with orange and amber hairs throughout the entire Christmas tree-shaped buds. Following the nature of most indica strains, the buds are dense and have a thin coating of white crystals. The aroma of this strain is a citrusy delight, with a bit of a skunky and sweet aftertaste.

The effects of this strain start off highly indica, leaving you with a relaxed mentality almost immediately after consumption – followed by an equally relaxing body buzz. By the end of the session you will be hit with a somewhat energizing euphoric feeling that can lead to creativity and productivity by increasing your ability to focus. This strain offers the best of both the indica and sativa worlds, leaving you with the medicine you need without the sedation that comes with most potent indica strains.

Medical Benefits

When it comes to using Sunset Sherbet as a medicine you will want to keep in mind that this medicine does have strong indica effects – the sativa parentage does provide a somewhat uplifting and energizing effect, however, making this an excellent daytime choice for those who require the indica effects. It works excellent for conditions such as muscle spasms, migraine headaches, chronic pain, stress, anxiety and depression.

If you’re considering this strain for medical benefits, then you should keep in mind that the THC content can range from 10 to 19 percent on average, so take it slow with this strain. A few puffs at a time will allow you to medicate just enough, without ending up tired from over-consumption. Unfortunately, there is not much information when it comes to growing this strain – but hopefully that is a matter of its newness and more information should come along eventually.

Have you tried Sunset Sherbet? Have you taken a crack at growing this strain? Share your experiences, I would love to hear about it!

  1. Sunset Sherbert Ceramic Vape Cartridge from Trulieve:

This is actually my current go to strain to treat my PTSD and Treatment-Resistant Depression. Tastes *exactly* like strawberry lemon Sherbert. I’ve never really enjoyed the taste of any other strains to be honest.

Thankfully this was one of the strains my doctor suggested trying based on my symptoms.

Don’t go to any old internist who took a 2 hour online certification course like a month ago just to increase their patient flow and make some extra cash….

If you are currently taking an anti-depressant, a tranquilizer/benzodiazepine (Xanax) or other mood altering pharmaceuticals for things like sleep…just go ahead and at least get your med mj Card (you have nothing to lose if you’re already popping mood altering chemicals/pharmaceuticals.
